The journal publishes articles and materials on topical issues of art theory and art history, including cross-disciplinary integrative studies. It may be of interest to experts in the field, students of the humanities, as well as a broader audience.

The Journal’s aim the is to publish original scientific articles meeting broad national and international interest. Its mission is to promote and reinforce Russia’s leading global role in research on the theory and history of culture and art.

Objectives of the Journal are as follows:

• Provide an effective platform for professional discussion of a wide range of fundamental problems in art studies and cultural studies
• Facilitate introducing current developments in art and cultural studies into the scientific community
• Foster a professional dialogue between Russian and foreign scholars in the fields of culture and art
• Encourage budding researchers to contribute to theory and history of culture and art studies.
